Sunny Cornwall Part 2

We were very lucky with the weather while holidaying in Cornwall. The mercury hit 26 degrees on Monday. Since we were driving back to London that afternoon, we decided to lunch in Padstow en-route.

Lunch was at Rick Stein’s St Petroc’s Bistro. The service was rather slow and we waited almost 40 minutes for our food. However, the food was delicious and everyone was happy with their orders.

Italian fish stew

Octopus salad with fennel and green beans

Whole grilled lemon sole with bearnaise sauce

Pan fried chicken breast with shallots, thyme and crushed potatoes

We ran out of time for dessert as we had a 5 hour drive ahead of us.  We bade farewell to our friends after thanking them letting us join them for a wonderful holiday. We drove off with plenty of sweet memories, promising to catch up soon.
