Buttered asparagus is a quick and easy side dish to serve up.
- Add a bunch of asparagus to boiling water. Boil for 4 minutes
- Drain and quickly transfer into a big bowl of iced water
- Heat a knob of butter in a saute pan
- Drain the asparagus and toss into the hot butter
- Saute for a minute, season with salt and pepper
- Serve up
