Merry Christmas. Santa paid us a visit last night and was very generous with his gifts although we forgot to leave him a glass of whiskey 🙂
We have a long day ahead of us which involves plenty of eating and drinking. Poor Hubby might be allowed only a glass of wine as he is on antibiotics, but he is in good form and is looking forward to enjoying the festivities.
We had a lovely Christmas eve. The Christmas tree never looked more festive with its red and silver baubles. We had the fire on, and I enjoyed a mug of well deserved mulled wine. We stayed up past midnight watching The Holiday. I remember a few years ago, some colleagues slated the movie – ‘as if it snows at all during Christmas period’. Bet they were eating their words last night, as there is still plenty of snow in my backyard. It is not forecasted to snow today, but it is still a white Christmas, a first for me.
I am thankful that I have Hubby to spend the day with, and I hope our guests can make it over as well. Here’s to many more Christmas’, Hubby, be it in the sunshine, or snow.
Merry Christmas to all.
