Barbecue sauce

I found a quick and easy recipe for barbecue sauce which I made to accompany the pulled lamb I served up for lunch today.  If you’re short for time, then this is a good recipe to have up your sleeves.

I modified the recipe slightly as I was only serving it for the two of us:

Ingredients: (makes 1/2 cup)
  • 1 large clove of garlic, peeled and minced
  • 1 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp dark brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp sherry vinegar
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  1. Heat oil in a saucepan
  2. Fry the garlic for 30 seconds
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients to the pan
  4. Leave to cook over a low heat for 10 minutes
  5. Sauce is ready to serve!
