I’ve watched endless re-runs of Nigella’s cooking programs on the food channel, and was really looking forward to Nigellissima, her new show on BBC2. In the first episode, she essentially made steak and chips, but these were no ordinary chips. She called them Tuscan fries, which were cooked from room temperature oil. We substituted beef with lamb, and served it with sweet tomatoes.
The result? Crunchy fries with a hint of herbs and garlic. Absolutely delicious.
